Yup, you should ask this in a more speaker based forum but here's a quick one, b and w tend to be regarded as better value. B and O do make some great home speakers but you're always paying extra for the design.

I am thinking you are in the UK? Check out Mission, Tannoy , Wharfedale, Monitor Audio, etc For HT : do u want DTS-HD/Dolby TrueHD as this would influence choice of receiver
