This is so extreme, it just doesn't make any sense. At this day and age, when my tiny portable Diablo gives me 5 full Watts into 32 Ohm, there isn't any reason a full size SS amp can't easily product at least as much (or perhaps bit less if not focused on poewr). But this is extreme, just doesn't sound right... curious to see replies to this one..

I'm really confused by the power output specs also. The Manual also says (which makes me think its not a misprint) 200mw into 8ohms which just seems....unusually low.

I think the MSRP is $8850 but that may have changed?

The specs say it can output 14V. So if using Abyss 1266 which is a nominal 47 ohm load, the output is 4.17 watts.

The THD specs do quote a 200mw output…..so I am a bit confused on its output.

Yes, good catch. If I use a straight conversion though ( not necessarily the actual price provided by Boulder ) it would be $9515 USD. Certainly better, but still allot. Especially if it cannot provide the current and watts necessary for some HP’s.
