i tried a pair of sennheiser HD650, they fit way too snug around my head, but i liked the amount of bass they produced. earlier in the month, i tried akg k550, they didn't have enough bass for me, but after trying both i think the highs are clearer in the k550. now i am looking for something with at least the same amount of bass as the HD650 but doesnt fit so snug. i have about $350, prefer an open design and over the ear. almost wish i could get some beyerdynamics but dont want a shrilly top end, and they have a lot of models so its kinda hard that way to know where to start. someone suggested the akg k545, but i am afraid it wouldn't have as much bass as the HD650. i never thought of myself as a bass head, but do like it to at least be represented in the presentation. thanks, john
