I could not wait any longer and bought the AT AD700s at $78.15. At one time, the AD700s were $68 + $8 shipping = $76. So basically, I got ripped off $2.18 buying these headphones. On the plus side, at least now I get to put a new headphone into my sig.

No, that's a good price. But more important is how well you like your AD700.

Could you be a little more specific on what you mean by good price? thx

he means you got an amazing deal, as these headphones usually go for more, and are definitely worth every penny that you spent, and more.

the thread, though, is a bit odd to say the least. I sincerely doubt you really want our opinions on whether or not you were shafted by spending an extra $2, so I can only guess that this is some kind of trolling?

I second that, tell us what you think!

Is $2 worth thinking about at this point? If you're always associating your new headphones with $2.18 that you might have saved if you'd only waited another week, month, year, you'll never enjoy them. Look at it this way: you bargain shopped, you waited, you asked a lot of questions, and found yourself a really good deal. Be pleased with yourself and enjoy your new headphones knowing that. Besides, if you kept up talking about prices in one more thread here, you might have driven a few people batty, so you helped the whole community by taking the plunge at long last. Relax. Enjoy. Post impressions when you get them.

Funniest. Post. Ever. Good reasoning, too.

I know the recession is biting a little harder in other countries, but is $2.18 really such a phenomenal amount of money that you feel the need to post about it ? As pointed out, the issue should be whether you feel you got your $78 worth, not whether you paid 'too much'.

Current asking price for the AD700s at my online retailer of choice here in Oz is USD175 delivered - thats almost a hundred dollars more than you paid. Please re-evaluate whether you got a good deal or not. (Personally, I will go straight to the AD900s, and you dont want to know that they cost here).

Wait, he actually bought the headphones instead posting in every thread that he was going to wait until they specifically dropped down to $68 again?

That is amazing!

Once you receive them, please let us know if they live up to your standards! In the world of audio, you're only getting ripped off if you can't enjoy the music!

I can't bare to bend my new babies, the elastic band and velcro strap mod has made them fit my slightly smaller than normal head nicely
