I gave them a listen once at Best Buy. They didn't sound horrible, but they were SOOOO not worth $150. Thats about it.

You can tell it's Mattel

It says 'Bose' on it.

MetalHead666,

i think i should apologise on everyone's behalf for the rather negative comments that have landed here - most of us here (well, 99.9% at least) at head-fi do not think much of bose products in general. i know and understand it must really feel like crap to have something you bought and paid for panned by othrs.

but imho, they really do suck, at least at that price point.

I listened to them and the bass sounds like some guy is farting in your ear. The highs are like the brakes on a 1962 Chevy. The mids are just none existant. The one thing they got going for them is they are comfortable. I end this post with a quote of the BOSE site regarding the "technology"

"How do you re-create the powerful physical experience of music with a pair of headphones?" At Bose®, we found the answer by combining our history of audio research and decades of headphone acoustical study. Using psychoacoustics, we were able to identify how your usual perception of sound changes when you put on a pair of headphones. Our research led us to the development of proprietary acoustic equalization techniques. These innovative techniques fine-tune the frequency response of the TriPort® headphones for an exceptional audio performance. You get rich, impressive sound and deep bass from your music."
