This is good for a laugh if youre bored:

"They are definitely true Bose headphones. When you think of bose you think of top of the line headphones and these definitely are."

"If only they had some in-the-ear
headphones, they would give shure's EC model headphones a run for their money."

This and all the rest:

Sorry for waisting your time, this amused me, is all.

As a music enthusiast, I love product quality and world-class sound. Bose delivers this at a within-reach price. With crystal clear highs and very impressive lows, these TriPort headphones won me over. Adding to the world-class sound, Bose enhances your listening experience with comfortable ear-cushion padding and an adjustable head band, which make this a very well-rounded unit. Bose also gives you a lengthy cable for maneuverability, an extention cable for even more added length, a gold plated 1/4" adapter for home-theater receiver hookup, and a handy carry-bag for travel. Where other manufacturers fell short, Bose delivered.

I bought the triports and the sony V700DJ both to try out and decide which ones really were better. I even took a survey!! Overall the Sony are better. There is a HUGE sound difference. The Sony's do sound better, by a lot, they are much more crisp sounding! The bose have great sound but not as good. There was only one person out of 16 that picked the bose. BUT..... the Sony's are pretty heavy and put a lot of pressure on your head. If you a strong head then go with sony's for sure. They are not as comfortable but the sound is worth it. For anyone that gets headaches after wearing headphones for long periods of time the sony's ARE NOT FOR YOU. Buy the bose the sound is still great and they are weightless.

After all he got them for free.I imagine Tri- Ports woould be a pretty good deal for nothing. And to give Bose a little bit of credit their 301 speaker is a pretty decent sounding little bookshelf speaker.I allmost bought them before deciding to get the Boston Acoustic Cr75s.I felt the Bostons had a little better build quality and did'nt sound so boomy.

I'd agree with that, they are quite comfortable and light weight. I've been looking for a good closed phone that is equally as small and comfortable.

Too bad about the sound quality....

. I can see buying them if they were around $40.

I would argue that the higher the SNR of your source, and the higher impedance phones you have, the better 4'33" is going to be reproduced.
Actually, get a $3 stopwatch, and dont even both with headphones. You'll hear it clear as day.
