My theory is slightly different. I believe most people simply don't know how to listen to music, peroid.
A little over a month back, my mother bought herself a new car, and went raving on and on about how good the sound system was. Naturally, i was a bit skeptical, however, she assured me that it would put my petty melos to shame.
She pulls up to the corner, exicted on her new purchase, and asks me to get in. My ears nearly bled due to the crap comming from those speakers. She had the base cranked up so high that it felt like i was in a ghetto cruser (Quite an acheavement for a lincon contential if i do say so myself), the treble was painfully shrill, and there simply was no midrange.
"It's great, huh?" Asks my mom turning to me. Holding back the urge to scream "They suck", i instead whisper "Do you want to know what i really think?". "Nope" She replied smurking.
A year ago, i probably would have though "Man, those sound great", but you guys have spoiled that forever
