I am running my W5000's through a nice ATH amp and the bass is a little bit shy for my tatstes. Can anybody suggest ways to increase the bass output?

Best way is to do it in software with a mastering quality EQ. I use one through Winamp via VST. There are also resistor hacks that you can try but IMO they result in poorer sound, someone else could explain those better than I can.

I concur.....the only way I could get satisfactory bass when I had my W5000s was with an EQ
