I've found a backup for my much beloved decade old JVC boombox. Unfortunately, it's in Europe and has 220 voltage instead of the standard U.S. voltage.

Can I buy some sort of adaptor to fix that? Will it affect the sound?

Amazon.com has something that I think will fit the bill:

Such an adapter shouldn't effect the sound too much, as (in my understanding - I'm no EE but have taken electrical circuit analysis courses) the only major difference between US and EU electronics that the consumer would likely notice is that they have different AC/DC adapters. There are also little differnces such as EU products can no longer contain lead, therefore cannot contain solder; such things are likely to make little difference to your music, I suspect.
