Hello everyone! It's been a really long time since I've have the time (and money) to upgrade any of my tech, a few years actually. So I just moved into a new apartment and the color scheme of my desktop is blue/yellow. I was hoping to find some tall (~20inch) bookshelf speakers to match well with my portrait monitors and blue/yellow desktop. These are the two that I found, and surprisingly I couldn't find anything else. This is mainly for gaming/hip-hop, but doesn't need to have too much base since I live in an apartment. So do these look good, any recommendations?

If those really aren't worth the money then I'll gladly get some that aren't yellow, just a preference, but they must be tall, and I'll get a sound card later.

Never heard of the Thonet and Vander speakers. Those Sony's have been out of production a long time.

Know that optimal placement for speakers is typically with the tweeter aimed at your ear. Would tall speakers like that give you best placement?

The Andrew Jones designed Pioneer desktop loudspeakers are under $200 are superb for the money.

Second choice would be a pair of used Audioengine A2+

I remember while I was researching and going to stores to hear it in person, the Andrew jones speaker's really stood out with the sweet tweeters and clarity. I ended up buying it and is very happy with my purchase.

I second Sugizo's recommendation. Elac B5 I researched seemed to be the best on for this price range.
