I have a Panasonic DMP-BD87 Bluray player I got for 10 bucks from Goodwill. It has left and right RCA audio jacks, which I'm hooking into some computer speakers using a male L & R RCA (The BD player) to male 3.5 mm jack (the speakers). Obviously I'm not going to be listening to the full-blown 7,1 Lossless tracks, but here's the thing: I have some anime Blurays which usually have 2.0 audio rather than surround sound. So I've been wondering if I can actually listen to the lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD tracks using the player's L/R RCA outputs as long as the disc's audio is itself 2.0 channel. This player can decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD. I was wondering what settings are relevant. Here's a pic: http://i.imgur.com/whLh3KP.jpg.
Basically I want to know: if the Bluray I'm watching has a 2.0 channel Japanese track, can I not hear the lossless audio when using the L & R audio jacks? What settings should I have in that pic?
