This may be the best bud photo I’ve ever taken—so don’t make fun of it 😆
Not too bad at all! Mine are usually much worse! It usually takes me ten or so pictures to actually get one that is presentable!

That my Blur brother is a first Hybrid edition the Blur 189 Hybrid MX150 aPs using Litz pure silver and Litz copper wiring both in clear insulation. A very striking cable.

2021 - Blur 189 Hybrid MX/PK; MX 32/64/150/300Ω aPs; PK 150Ω (w/ "189 Hybrid" cabling *)

* Blur 189 aka "189 Hybrid" = silver + copper; 56 tiny cores silver + 133 cores copper in thin clear insulation; combined both are 189 (used on 189 Hybrid)

The Blur 189 Hybrid line (MX aPs & PK) was the successor and replacement series for the Blur 173 MX lines (both aPs and non-aPs) and tuning wise borrowed heavily from the earlier Blur hALF/hALF and Blur 50/50 series. The Blur 189 Hybrid line has recently been replaced by the Blur 189 Hybrid MX aPs Retune line using the same "189 Hybrid" type cabling.
I think the cable you have is like my PK32 cable… I guess we’ll see. It’s brown and hardier, but less flexible.
Close... the cabling on your Blur 266 PK32 New Line is using the slightly darker brown (aka version 2) 266 cabling that was also used on the first 266 MX Retune line, as well as the various tunings of both the 266 PK32 Second Mountain and 266 PK32 New Line series:

Blur 266v2 aka "266 Brown" = copper; same Litz copper wire in brown insulation; each 133; combined both are 266 (used on 266 MX Retune I, 266 PK32 Second Mountain and New Line tunings; replaced by 266 Light Brown)

Upon further listening, I have found that my Blurs are pretty polarizing, sounding great with some music and pretty bad with others. This seems to be largely do to some emphasis at a certain point in the low treble, possibly even having a peak in there. On some tracks, this has the effect of giving higher pitched vocal sounds and certain instruments a pleasant forward presence that really makes the music come across with vivid detail. On others it can become too much and introduce a touch of sibilance and make certain sounds overly aggressive.

When they suit a track, they sound very, very good and I imagine they'll have a spot in my collection for a long time to come. As I said, when I get home in a couple days to where I have a cellphone with a working camera I'll post a pic of them for comparison purposes. For right now, I have more listening to enjoy! 🤘😎👍

Edit: I'm going to try these on the Megatron. I think that could be quite the pairing. I love having fun figuring out new buds!

Blur #176 received today. New bud day is always a good day! Wong included a few extra cable wraps when I inquired about buying a few more, great guy.

The Blur OFC PK150 Wraith SE/LE and the basic Wraith tuning has been absorbed into the Blur 189 Hybrid MX/PK line and is now rebadged as the Blur 189 Hybrid PK150.
Where do you buy the Blur’s online?

I am letting go of 2 of my Blur's in the Classifieds :)

Your buds is mine now!!! 👿👿👿

I will need more time with the Blur OFC MX300 aPs; MX 300Ω (Limited Edition 1 of 1) to get a handle on how I feel about them. Not that they are bad, but I'm going to need to figure out what they do right for me.

The Blur 173 PK32 are really quite an impressive set. They are definitely a set I hear and then want to listen to more. I'm not ready to actually consider impressions, but I do know that these buds are very good, and deserve their love.

And now I want to find more Blurs lol

To wit: what are the expectations on the upcoming buds that Wong is working on? Is it worth it to see what people think of that, or just continue to watch the classifieds for when stray Blurs come up for sale?

I would say both :) It's honestly not often a Blur gets sold in the secondary market and certainly once someone lists them, they seem to go relatively fast.

I am also interested in Wong's upcoming releases. He has been super quiet re: earbuds since my OFC was created in early December. @WoodyLuvr Do you have any updates on his Wraith recreated or any new Blur creations that are available to order?
