im looking for something along the lines of SRV/Albert King's In Session ... its got srv's killer electric guitar infused with soul courtesy of albert king

i already have a bunch of SRV albums and i need something older... something mellower and groovier to sit back and enjoy

recommendations? i have a bunch of free eMusic.com downloads at my disposal

Buddy Guy - Sweet Tea is the only Blues album the blew me away in the last 5+ years. Check it out. Just don't listen to a couple of the tracks if you're angry and a baseball bat is near by.

I second Hound Dog Taylor -- under-appreciated, IMHO

some I would recommend in the electric blues vein:

Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers - Empty Arms Hotel (actually, I'd recommend any Thackery cd)
Melvin Taylor - Dirty Pool
Michael Burks - either Make It Rain or I Smell Smoke
Tab Beniot - Fever on the Bayou or Nice and Warm
Whiskey Store - Whiskey Store (Jimmy Thackery/Tab Beniot side project)
Mem Shannon - I'm From Phunkville
Luther Allison - Live From Chicago
