@bystander Thanks for such a fast reply. I found on Aliexpress this KBEAR 8 Core Oxygen Free Balanced Cable 3.5MM TFZ ? Is this TFZ the best plug for the Blon BL03? Flush? Thanks again.

You don’t want completely flush with a 3rd party cable on the BL-03, because the bass vent will be blocked.

The TFZ/NX7 style plug fits semi-flush, doesn’t block the vent, and requires no mods to fit.

Have you tried it cable down yet? I wanna get that cable although where I live It'll arrive by August.

Also is it just me or is the 2 pin connector unusually long on the Zonie?
The pin length is normal on the Zonie.

The Zonie has a mild preformed shape to fit the ear.
With that in mind yes it is possible to wear IEMs down with this cable as the curve is not really solidly formed. So I have just put a pair of Blon 03's and a BQEYZ KB100 on the Zonie and they work fine. There are pure straight edge cables with no fit mouldings that are better like this one that came with a ****** V2 and has no preformed fit so is perfect for wearing down. It would be easy to coax the Zonie (hairdrier maybe) into a full straight shape.

At this point I can only wonder if anyone actually likes memory hooks. Although from what I read not too long ago (and I forgot anyway) memory hook isn't overly aggressive on the memory unlike the stock BLON cable.

It's a personal thing, I think. I won't buy any aftermarket cables without hooks, particularly if they're thicker, otherwise they fall off my ears constantly (wearing glasses probably contributes). I don't like aggressive ones, but I don't usually run into those.

I definitely prefer memory shrink wrap over memory wire.

Going back to BL-03 I guess?
I never left them :)

BL-05 is a good IEM, with great resolution in its class and very comfy. Still, I now have other IEMs below the USD 100.- coming and I don't think I will spend much more time with the BL-05.

I wonder what the US used value of the BL-03 is? I assume not much. I am debating whether to sell my pair as I mainly use two other pairs lately.
I have too many good IEMs lying around at the moment; fortunately most were not terribly expensive to start with.

I imagine the BL-03 to be a great giveaway/gift to the right friend who may appreciate them. Sort've like how KZ's were/are, if you amassed more than a few of them like I did and like many others here. The BL-03 would be a hell of a gateway drug into this hobby....

I paid $24 for mine. I’d say $17-$20 shipped, unless it already includes an upgrade cable.

Like mentioned above, give it as a gift, use it as a backup pair, attach it to a TRN adapter and convert it to a kickass TWS set, etc.
