ARGUGRTHG!!!

After posting in the The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema & Help Me Modernize My Music! threads I realized that I just have too much good music to listen too.

I blame it all on recstar24 and his so called cure for upgrade-itus.

I have spent roughly $400 on CD's this past month. More than I normally spend in a year. That is more than an album a day. And the outcome of all this is that it is just making me burn for those HF-1's to arrive because I know it will all sound just that much better. And of course the logical outcome of that is me buying even more music.

BTW

I just picked up Damien Rice and Bob Marley & the Wailers - Gold (2CD Island 2005) today. Damn it & I still have to buy my text books, not to mention feed myself.

One must remember, though, that recstar has a very good sound system as well. Much better than the likes of mine, at least

In my opinion, one should not get into buying expensive audio equipment unless they already have a love and passion for music. One should have a pretty large backbone already before they start getting intensely involved.

What's weird, however, is that I buy a lot more music than I do equipment. And I don't have much of a setup to brag about yet. I probably spend close to 600 dollars a month on new records from Acousticsounds, Music Stack/Ebay, TTVJ, DCCBlowout, and Music Direct. Equipment, hell, I've been waiting for a long, LONG time to get a much-needed new cartridge upgrade. I Just went through with it recently. Let me just say that it cost half of what I normally spend on vinyl.
