Has anyone listened to this album ? I had a brief listen to it yesterday and I liked every track, which is rare ! Hans Zimmer's music is always a bit exotic. I should have bought this album many years ago.
I wasn't a huge fan of the soundtrack album but it did turn me on to Rachid Taha's Made in Medina recording which I still pull out for a spin regularly.
If you liked this soundtrack, I would suggest the Gladiator and Dark Knight soundtracks. They lack the exotic nature of some of the songs on the Black Hawk Down soundtrack, but he does some very interesting things on the Dark knight soundtrack with some unusual percussion instruments.
i definitely second ambrosecarr's opinion (get Gladiator ASAP.) You might also like some Gustav Mahler (try his symphonies) if you're looking to get into some more "serious" music.
I bought this soundtrack immediately after I saw the film in the theater. I love it and listen to it often. My favorite movie soundtrack of all time though is the soundtrack to "American Beauty."
