Bithead/DAC with XP & Boot Camp?

As some of y'all might know, there is a bug when running XP through Boot Camp on a Mac. I've got a Macbook Pro and am running XP professional for gaming. With the Mac drivers installed sound comes out of both the laptop's speakers and the headphone out even with a headphone plugged in. I was wondering if I used like a Bithead or some other DAC if that would take care of the problem since doesn't the Bithead use its own drivers?

It should, since then you would be using the bithead as a soundcard, and it's not hooked up to the speakers in any way.

I daresay that these sort of issues will be fixed when the drivers are out of beta.

has there been any info on when this might happen? sure would be nice
