I've been eyeing these since July and finally decided to stop worrying about it and just ordered them. I hope I like the Grado sound, I didn't have a chance to listen beforehand.

Also got the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter, ordered both from TTVJ. I wish they'd get here by the weekend, but I doubt it since I'm in PA and he's in MT.

Congratulations!
I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
But....
You're a member here since 2004 and you don't know the Grado sound.
How did you do that?

You may be very surprised if they show up mid-week. Todd usually ships rather quickly and I seem to recall mine arriving in like 2 or 3 days via USPS Priority.

I joined here back then to ask about the PX100s that I currently have, and I went missing for years until July of last year when I came back to ask and learn about true headphones

That would be awesome. May I ask which state you're in?

I highly doubt that you'll dislike the Grado sound signature. Grado produces outstanding headphones, and having owned the 225's, I can vouch for them. They will most definitely place you right in the thick of things.

Just remember, if something was to bother you about them, DO NOT just give up on them. There is a wealth of mods around this place for Grados concerning comfort, bass, etc.

Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy!

ps...I'm in PA myself, my HD600's shipped from Todd on a Tuesday and I had them on a Thursday. Expect them soon.

Awesome, very good to hear about the 225s and the shipping.

I was planning on trying to flats if I didn't think the bass was to my liking, but I'm going to give them a good listening to in stock form for awhile. I can't wait to hear them, I wonder how much better things will sound compared to my PX100s.

I'm outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I got my Yuin PK2s in about 4 days.

Good idea. Give them about 100 hours stock, in my opinion. I personally found that both the 60's and 225's required some time to open up in the bass department. Honestly though, I can't really say that I was unsatisfied with the bass in either can.

Reverse the bowls and try the tape mod for a couple of quick fixes if you find it necessary, but seriously...Grado's are open cans so you can hear yourself go "holy crap" on that first listen.
