What is MPC format?

MPC is another codec... MP3 is a codec... its like mp3 but higher quality one... you get much better quality for smaller sizes (to a point) .. just follow the links at the bottom of my page... get either foobar2000 or a winamp plugin... foobar is a complete program seperate.. plays lots of file formats.. but it has a basic front end... winamp plugins once installed means you can just drag mpcs onto winamp and they play.. probably the better choice ....

I have Fubar2000, I never knew it played MPC. Cool.

yep.. plug in and play... mpc is gapless too.. I've tried it on a few of my samples but there is a gain change as i tried to make the most of the bits of the waves when i could do, by making quiet tracks louder... for one over here i dont like having to turn my system up 300% to listen to stuff... especially when a system noise comes thru at that 3x volume

Some of my later stuff... new years eve fireworks... skateboards out of the door, library, market etc... comes out really nice.. enjoy

yep... i thought that site was closed down... it was for a while... always meant to order from there.. I've got a binaural recording from the UK of some guys playing guitar in a forest.. its very good... the music is less binaural than i'm used to tho, sounding very much like audiophile recordings... such as SACD hybrid discs by Eric Bibb and the like....

Its been years since i've heard the samples on that page above tho... it was my first real experience of binaural a good few years ago... some are better than others.. the mp3s on the best, but the music ones are less impressive than others.. the womens voice is good... good for close ups tho...

I was very much into Binaural recordings … for about a week. The problem is THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. Most of the web sites dedicated to them no longer update; most of the CD's they talk about are no longer in print. I would be waving my wallet around in a second if I found a site offering imported classical binaural recordings. They give 5.1/6.1/XX.1 speaker playback a run for its money.

If only studies would take advantage of that great dummy head. Well anyway, if anyone happens to find some of these CDs hidden in the web please post and share.

I absolutely love this stuff! I am going off to Chapman University next year to study film production and plan on making some kind of video from the first person point of view using binaural recording.

Someone mentioned they were thinking about getting some to record shows? Does anyone know if this had been done? That would be truly wonderful, thanks.
