I am a bit confused by those recordings.

A reviewer on Amazon says that Consecreation contains the first sets, and Last Waltz the second sets of the concert at Keystone Korner,San Francisco, between August 31 and September 8,1980

What is in Consecreation II ? is that the first sets as well because they were twice longer than the second sets ?

So total, we would have 8cds for Last Waltz (Second sets) and 16 for the 'Consecration' + 'Consecration II' (First Sets) ?

Thanks

Consecration is Part 2, The Last Waltz is Part 1.

The full title is Consecration: The Final Recordings Part 2. Same track listing as Consecration on its own, without the confusing subtitle.

So, 16 discs total, only one 'Consecration' set of 8 discs.

That much Bill is a bit unnecessary, I think one set would suit you fine. (I have both from Emusic)

Thanks, that clarifies it.
Amazon did not have the track listing for 'Consecration: The Final Recordings Part 2', Only for 'Consecration'.
Yep, 16 cds is a lot, probably for Bill Evans fans. I guess once you know the reportoire very well, it's very nice to have a different take. But otherwise, there is probably other recordings that are more 'Essential'.
