HD650 and HD800. HD650 saps all energy from dynamic music. HD800's soundstage is very unnatural and also the sibilance is like nails on chalkboard.

I'll also say Focal Elear. Honestly for me, most of the post HD800 "mega-buck" headphones have been disappointing for me. I get a weird feeling that they are priced as they are simply because people are willing to pay for them. Eat a chunk of salt though because I'm a cynic.

Snap! Focal Elear for me. Very unnatural sound. Didn't like them at all. Thought I was crazy for not liking them. Glad others don't like them either. They were touted as game changing!

Beats. Did not sound like music the way artists intended.

Great thread. Have been thinking about the Focal Elear. Thanks guys. I will stick with Mr. Speakers for my high priced cans. They truly are a delight.

Focal Elear for me as well. I expected much more, didn't get it. Once I got my Monolith M1060's I sold the Elear to my bro-in-law who seems to love them.

I'm pretty surprised so many others were also very disappointed with the elear! There seems to be positive reviews and feedback all over for them.
