Big old CD Player, Sharp DX-650

Like many things old, technology changes, often for the better. In the case of CD players, even a 'top-of-the-line' unit of yore pales in comparison to an inexpensive unit of today (in most cases). Up until the other day, I had 3 CD players in the house that were all at least 7 years old. I just bought a relatively cheap (300 bucks) Marantz CD5001 CD player, and it shames all my old CD players in so many respects! Frankly, after hearing 'current CD technology' (many players now have super hi-res DACs... the CD5001 has a Cirrus Logic 24-bit chip) with it's improved resolution and dynamic range, I have decided to store my old CD players in my closet, and maybe sell them on Ebay. Specifically regarding the DX-650, I have not heard of it, but again, if it is quite old, i'm sure the sound quality is mediocre.
