Any recommendations? I've tried the Sony MDR V6 and Creative Aurvana Live, and found them too tight/uncomfortable. My main priorities are 1) low clamping force, 2) large/very large ear cups, 3) thick padding, and 4) excellent comfort for long usage. I'm basically looking for a closed version of the JVC HARX700, which I found very comfortable: http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HARX700-Precision-Sound-Headphones/dp/B0013OWPV4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355803458&sr=8-1&keywords=harx700

Right now I'm looking at the Brainwavz HM5, ATH-M50, and Shure SRH440. Anyone have experience with these or any other recommendations?

Take the M50 off your list. :xf_eek: Heavy, clampy, stick-to-your-head vinyl, and they sound closed-in and boomy. They don't tick any of your boxes. I'd also add that your criteria for comfort are perhaps a bit misguided - the "ideal comfort" headphone will be very light, relatively small, and evenly distribute it's weight across your head (Bose, and at a time Sony, exemplify this paradigm - Kenwood, Denon, and Audio-Technica get very close).

I'd suggest, within your budget:
- Bose AE2
- Koss R/80

Over your budget:
- Audio-Technica ATH-A900X
- Kenwood KH-K1000
- Bose QC15
- etc

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, the HA-RX700 *are* closed; it's the RX900 that are open. :xf_eek:
