I got the BGVP OCC cable. Very nice looking but a little rubbery stiff. I than came across the ISN S8 cable that seems very interesting as it uses separate copper and silver plated strands. An owner has reported it working very well with the DM6.
Also Good price at $32.

I got the copper, 16-core, 2.5mm balanced version of

Quite supple, but as @mr.karmalicious says, it is a little bit pink in appearance.

I have a linosoul silver/copper 7N cable on the way - will see what difference that makes.

My review on BGVP DM6 with ISN Audio S8 cable - https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/bgvp-dm6.23290/reviews#review-21737
A SPC cable is must with DM6.

No right & left marking? Wrong, look at the text on each earphone, it has R and L

Recessed midrange? Quite the opposite. Do yourself a favor and replace the OEM cable with a pure copper one, and THEN give 'em a listen. My midrange is FORWARD.

Supplied tips are not that great? After testing like 8 different sets of tips the supplied tips actually proved to be at the top of the list.

Thanks for the info , yes just noticed that r & l marking but it's too small. Previously I thought it's part of serial no. I will edit that con soon. don't have any pure copper cable right now and will try for sure. Tip choice is my personal and may not match with other but the wide bore tip is must.

How would you compare the balanced port on es100 and hiby r3 for the dm6? And I must ask about the zx300 as well, but the zx300 must be in a different league when compared to the es100?

From the budget cable thread comments - I thought you preferred H8 over S8 ?

And speaking of Tip bore sizes ..
I originally started with widest bore tips mainly because it helped to tame the high treble region.

After 200+ hours and an OCC cable the sound became much smoother overall without treble or graininess issues.
I than experimented and went with slightly smaller bore size tips - SpinFits. Found now going smaller bore tightened up the bass slightly by reducing the mid bass and increased detail in highs.

From my experience I recommend very wide bore tips to start with on a new DM6 and later with copper cable and more usage hours a Medium bore is possibly better.
