Mess up? Anything custom will be a huge improvement, perfect seal and perfect fit...
Oh, well ok the exact issue I have is some part of my right ear canal is in 'the way' of the sound tube. So audibly, treble drops by like 3db in that ear but bass is normal and mids are almost normal. It's a nasty effect, it ruins the stereo image and makes me feel lopsided. Of course when my ears are open, I don't perceive any problems with that ear.

I get a perfect seal otherwise with foam tips. It's probably the foam tip that is bending into the sound tube somehow but I can't tell exactly. Huh, maybe if I make some kind of impression I can cut out a little foam in the right area. I dunno.

Option n2 is to go full custom. Go see a good audiologist, get your ear impressions professionally done and you right ear won't be a problem anymore. Custom tip may not work in your case (I think it would but I have never tried them) but custom iem definitely will. You'll have to pony up more cash but you'll feel "whole" again.
Most good chi-fi semi-custom iems like the DM6 will accept 3D scans of the ear impressions...

A lil sad experience for me:

Im a newbie here, personally have 2 IEM, UE900s and Sony N3AP, and i pulled the trigger on this amazing BGVP DM6 after heaps reading them reviews here.
Placed my order on a stock ready transparent DM6 on 21st January 2019 from Linsoul Tech.
It was shipped out on 26th Jan despite having ready stock, and successfully collected it from the postal service on 4th Feb.
Unboxing the DM6 it was a thriller. The DM6 looks as amazing as those HQ picture posted here. Lovely!!!

Here comes the nightmare. 3 days of usage, and me DM6 case gave up on me...
Contacted Linsoul on 7th Feb regarding it, queering if there is any warranty if the IEM case were to give way in a few days of use and then i provided picture as requested.
Woke up one fine morning, wore the DM6, and me sis told me that part of my IEM fell off.
The IEM literally broke into 3 pieces a side, and a hairline crack in the other... Honestly, i am unsure if it was human error on my side... (i do take care of my IEM like it's a precious gold, hence i do not drop them)

As there is festive celebration, Linsoul informed that the BGVP team would be off.
I finally got a reply after the festive, and ship the parcel back.
Cutting things short, after 30+ email exchange where at times i get no reply (a little let down for this part),
I was told they would have stock and would ship one to me, and wasnt replied regarding if i need to pay for a re-shell, hence me assuming that i would get a replacement... (was a lil happy bout it)
Then another MIA session by Linsoul and got a reply that i will be provided a tracking.
A few exchange of email again, i was asked how it the DM6 end up in that state, which i explain as i mention above.
Linsoul then replied that they tested the IEM and there was no sound issue... and they might need me to pay a fee for human error... (all my happiness from back then GONE~ )
Now the waiting for reply begins again.... awaiting blindly again for what's next..

Do hope that the fee wont be too costly, else this would really kill my spirit and the reason to get it as bang for bucks...
Addition to that was hoping that i could get it shipped to my colleague so he could bring it to in Saudi me when he comes over later next week, guess it might just not happen (im from Malaysia, and the DM6 was shipped from Singapore previously)...

Was wondering if anyone experience what i did, be it with DM6 or any other IEM, where the shell breaks apart easily....
and also any experience with Linsoul customer service...

Overall the short 3-4 days of using the DM6, does have a slight stronger bass compare to the UE, and treble was OK for me..
Slight different sound signature compare to the UE, but huge when it's being compared to the N3AP...

Do forgive me if i posted this at the wrong place and my rant.

Curious how would one go about getting iems like the dm6 in custom? Already got the scans.

Ouch, good luck getting it sorted. Not sure how things like guarantees or warranty's stand up with chifi, but would of thought there would have been something for that short period :(

Agreed. While I understand the reasoning for companies to keep "human error" as a valid reason for a device falling apart, it's pretty safe to assume most people wouldn't be able or willing to thrash something in under a week, unless they're jumping out of airplanes or something...

Hi there, on a previous post regarding change of cable, i heeded one of the post and proceed in buying the Nicechk Pure Copper cable. Tested them the bass kinda bleed into the mids slightly. So i tried changing the eartips, there is a slight improvement but the bleeding still persist. Few days back, i bought the fiio latest cable: Pure copper sliver plated 8 cores cable 3.5mm and 2.5mm, i was surprise it changes alot the bass bleeding is gone. In the Nutshell, the overall sound quality is what i wanted. Ill recommend the Fiio 8 core cable and obviously it is a bit costly than the **** and Nicechk cable.

Is that the LC-3.5B ?
How did it affect the Highs/Sibilance for you ?

its LC-3.5C but im using LC-2.5C, basically you can hear a lot different the highs has more timbre, sparkles and retrieves details. Regarding sibilance, good news it fix that as compared to the stock cable; way too much sibilance

I feel you man, i hope you get your new and replaced iem, for me, i wouldnt buy from Linsoul Tech but i buy it from the distribution instead, there will be a seller @ ur place selling Bgvp Dm6 somewhere just got to check it...the distribution always buy it on bulk and have a return policy too, so if the one u bought damaged, they can changed from the distribution itself

That’s a dearer model and your impressions match up with description found on Penonaudio:

As a MMCX cable, the LC-2.5C/3.5C/4.4C is an easy to way to noticeably upgrade the sound of your current earphones. With this series of cable, you can expect smoother and less harsh treble, significantly increased detail, and vocals with clarity you never thought possible, Experience a clear, yet warmly inviting sound.

Could be a good investment.

This is the other cable that has been on my radar. It’s been praised well on the budget cable thread. Seems to have similar makeup as the FIIO you have.
