I'm after a set of earphones, and came across these.
Never heard/read anything about them.

Are they any good?

Wrong picture - that's the DTX 10. The DTX 20 looks quite a bit cooler - check here: http://www.beyerdynamic.de/de/product/sheets/d960.php3

I've got that thingy a few weeks ago (happened to find it in the local Media Markt...) - but I'm not yet decided, whether I like it.

The DTX 20 is meant to be the better one - it's got better specs, is more expensive and follows Beyerdynamic's general naming scheme. It looks better in real life, too - quite nice, actually, and it comes with a cute blue soft case...

Sound is not too bad, I'd say - maybe it even does what is does better than the MX500, but it also seems rather limited in the bass area and maybe somewhat overrepresentative in the midrange. Earbud impressions are always very individual due to fit variations, though, so it might sound better balanced to other listeners... If you can afford the hit or miss, I'd recommend to give it a try.
