Alright moved my pc in the main room and there is a lot of sound going on in here. I know the DT880's are semi-open but I was just curious how loud they would be, and if I would be able to put the headphones on and not be annoyed by the tv. And if not do you guys have any other suggestions? I do mainy gaming and watching movies on my computer

If you want to block out sound from your tv and other sources then a semi nor open back headphone will work, you will need a closed back headphone like a A900X, AKG 550, DT770 pro-80, etc,  I don't know what type of sound signature that you are looking for. But headphones like those that i mention will work for toning down the noises from the tv so you can watch movies and game on your computer.

I'm wanting headphones for gaming and movies mostly fps games so I would like something with decent soundstage

Then you will have to use semi open or open back and mute the tv which is the only way i can see that you can do what you asking for.
