There's a lot of discussion between the DT880 Pro vs Premium's scattered in a bunch of different threads but no conclusion I could find. From my understanding the only difference is the aesthetics, headband, and straight vs coiled cable. I read somewhere that the Pro's have more bass due to the tighter clamp and I also read that no one notices this. I'm wondering what headphone you guys chose and the reason behind it. Could be straight vs coiled, tight clamp vs loose, sound difference, or whatever reason.. I would just like to know why. 
 
The Premiums used to be $100 more than the Pro's but now they are just a few bucks apart and I'm looking for good reasons to go with either one.

I've been of the opinion that there's no difference between them, but this FR graph from the Golden Ears website seems to indicate an appreciable difference. Going by that, the 600 ohm is going to sound quite a bit less bright, and also maybe a little sucked out in the upper mids:
