Well, yesterday my DT770 2005s arrived, and were working perfectly until now. I've only been using them for music and gaming and I haven't done anything that should break any headphones.

Just a few minutes ago, suddenly the left side started, well, being weird. Suddenly it's really quiet and anything I play through the headphones sounds kind of distorted or something. It's really messed up. I've tried with my HD650s and they work fine.

What should I do?

EDIT: It's the cord, I tried holding it differently and suddenly, voila, it works. I guess I need to somehow fix/replace the cord?

Where is the cord weird? Is it by the plug?

If it's in the middle or something, you might as well recable them unless you'd like a 2 foot cable.

Then just snip it off and reterminate it. 5 minutes tops.

I'm confused.

Was the cable funky at where the line was?

Ugh..The achiles of Beyer headphones. My 48a has been having left channel problems since last yr. I need Alex to recable them. I'm just so worried. The 48a is never being sold used, here, ebay, ebay Germany..And retail for the 48a is 447. I mean, they are worth it. I just don't want to spend that much for a pair..

Okay, I don't see the thread I made going anywhere, so I'll ask you (since you seem to have some knowledge of Beyers

): Are the velour pads better for the DT770 '05s than the leather pads that came with mine? My main problem with mine is the lack of F/B depth. Everything just seems really 2-dimensional.

Is this partially because of my leather pads or is it just a characteristic of the headphones themselves?

If you don't know, then, well, darn.
