MG head OTL and Beyerdynamic DT 990 and 880 ???
I have the old Beyerdynamic DT 990 and 880, both are the 600 ohm version. The DT 990 is tweaked to produce less highs.
I like to listen to jazz and classical music.
For Classical music I usually use the DT 990, because of its indrecible resolution and neutrality.
For jazz and femal voices I use the DT 880, because of the full and warm mids.
My main goal is musical involvement, resolution and detail is only my second priority.
Since I love tubes I was wondering, if the MG head OTL would be a good match for these phones.
Forgot to mention that I have the AMity HP 2 headphone amp which sounds very nice, but it is SS, class A and not TUBES
