I totally agree with you! I am in love with this headphone just as it is. I tried the DT100 pads and it removed some of the engagement factor for me. So light and comfortable. I can't believe more people aren't talking about it. It sounds fantastic out of my iFi system - Pro iCan and iDSD on Solid State mode.Just bought this headphone today.......IT'S A WINNER!!!!
The fit is perfect/comfortable and the sound is amazing.
I have NO plans of tweaking this ( Bass is lean/tight, mids are spot-on, and treble is just right.)

After reading numerous remarks from other's on the DT-150, I was thinking MAYBE it would be uncomfortable, have too much bass, need different ear pads, ect..I totally agree with you! Nope, it's just perfect in "stock form" for my taste.
Sounds great. Does it have the typical beyerpeak?

Replying as I’m not sure if there’s a way to bookmark a post, gathering information on cable mods for DT150
Somewhat delayed response... but here's a schematic somewhat shared earlier in the thread:

I found great synergy between DT-150 and this little hybrid amp (check the thread): https://www.head-fi.org/threads/fosi-audio-t20-tube-amp-review-and-thread.968074/
This thing sounds really good!

B, really good to see you around my friend, long time no see! Hope you been keeping well Glad to see you still enjoying the DT150! I last tried it many years ago and I kind of regret not getting it back then. what are some of your main gears thesedays?
My can of choice for heavily distorted guitar music: from grunge, thrash metal, punk and proto-punk all the way to heavier classic rock like Sabbath and live Hendrix and live Cream.
My only HP which makes feel like i'm in the front of a Marshall stack.I guess it's because of their beefy bass and juicy upper mids .
It's pretty terrible for everything else though.

Hi @RedJohn456 !
I have been enjoying AKG K7XX, AKG K400 and Sennheiser HD-250 Linear1 lately! I am listening to the speakers with 2 different setups in the house as well (mostly Dali and Tannoy).
I really did not get excited from anything else to write about for a period of time since I bought this little and cheap amp from Fosi Audio. The sound from the Mac Mini M2 + FosiAudio T20 + Beyer DT150 has been exceeded anything else that I have tried. Synergy is incredible. I wish someone could try the Fosi Audio T20 Tube amp with their DT150 and tell me that my 49 years old ears and brain is not going mad
I have A-B'ed every headphone in my collection with the mentioned set-up and DT150 sounds out of this world! It became my main headphone since I purchase the T20 and I am never looking back! So this is why you see me again in Head-Fi with a review
Nice to hear from an old friend. I am seeing that you're still using the avatar that I designed! Cheers!
PS: I need to mention this: Mac Mini M2 and M2 Pro both share the same audio components which are better than the previous generation (intel and M1) Mac Mini's and Macbooks. Mac Mini M2 also have high impedance headphone support. It sounds better than my Sabre DAC so I do not use an external DAC anymore...

What tubes do you have in your T20? And do you listen via the 3.5mm out or from the speaker taps?

I use it with the stock tubes that came with the amp. They are Chinese 6J4 tubes... Although they can be replaced with many alternatives: JAN 5654W, 6K4, 6J1, GE5654, 6AK5, 6ж1П, 6BC5, 403A/B, EF40, EF95.
I listen my DT150 through 3.5mm out. Speaker outs are connected with 2 Tannoy Mercury MX1 bookshelf speakers.

Anyone else find the DR150 has too much energy in the 100-200 hz area?
