Currently an active drop on Massdrop. Very good price for a highly recommended pair of on-ear cans . 4 more days til the drop ends and it won't happen unless they have 100 sold. Check it out!

I'm thinking of participating. It would be a great to use these for monitoring my community radio program. It's a shame though, it doesn't look like there will be enough interest, but it's confusing the way it's worded. From looking at the discussion on massdrop, there seems to be some confusion as to whether or not the CC model has the larger (67mm) pads. I am guessing that both models on the massdrop have the new larger pads but their description seems to imply that only the CC model does. As this seems to be the only mention of the CC model (specs) here on Head-fi, I thought I'd chime in; today is the last day of the drop.

edit: I went for it, howcanIgowrong for $177.70 shipped! I was charged immediately by Paypal (I think lol) so it seemed more like a purchase, rather than waiting for enough participation to achieve a drop or discount level by the end of the time period.
This will be my very first beyerdynamicexperience

After using these on the air for a while, I can say with confidence that while these don't really do anything special, they don't have any weaknesses either; at least for my purposes these are perfect. The cc cable and the travel case really completed the picture.

I also think that I'll like these quite a bit for travel, at lest on extended trips. My ath-esw11ltd is too risky to do so with and iems don't always do the trick for me, so looking forward to this as well.

Glad you're enjoying them and they're serving your purpose. They bang pretty hard for such small cans. They isolate quite well thus they make very good travel cans. enjoy!
