Never tried those bud so i cannot say
But from my own personal use i'd say they rival most of the grado range!,even though they are closed...ish.
And they are more comfortable too,and cheaper so thats another plus for them
And i'm not just saying that cause i like beyer, but for my ears i think they perform as well.
Hows that for recommendation!!!

I've heard all three and in consideration of what I listen to on a day-to-day basis, I went with the Portapro. I've never liked the Senn sound (it's just not for me) and I think that the midrange sounds a little too flat for the DT-231. If I just had to pick these three, the portapro is the ticket.

But that's just me.

At the end of the day whatever headphone makes your music sound great is the one you should go with
Even if its a cheap pair it really makes no difference
I mean for instance i prefer my panasonic Rp htx7 to my Senn Hd650!
Just wish i could have tried different ones out cause it would have saved me a fortune!!!

I gave my DT231s away. The sound wasn't noticably better an the PX100s, and they definitely weren't as comfortable. (I have big ears)

Sell the HD650s. If you aren't using them, use the cash on something that you deem more important. Just seems like a waste.

I personally think that the DT231 is maybe $10 better than a PX100. Unforuntately the price difference is $20, but for some people this is not so much of a big deal.

The way the px100 folds up is genius, though, and makes for excellent portability.

I've not heard the PortaPro.
