I'm getting a 4k TV and will be using amazon fire TV for my video source. Trying to figure out the best audio solution of course.
The TV (Vizio m series) has spdif output so I believe I can use that to run to my dac etc etc.
The other option would be to get one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XRT9VGL/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A2BUXD0L1W5AKG&psc=1
to convert the hdmi audio out to spdif.
The dac is just a mimby, so hoping to do the spdif pcm at the highest rate (24/192) ...if I remember correctly.
So will the hdmi conversion offer superior quality, or will they both be equal?
Thanks!
