I travel a whole lot on the plane and I'm basically sold on the JH5
pros for my new pair of IEMs.
How's the doing isolation compared to the black
squishy tips of the Shures? I've heard some say customs are a lot better and people that say customs are worse. What have you
found?

Edit: sorry about the weird formatting... iPhone being weird.

The black olive tips on SE530 isolate just as well if not more than full shell customs. I owned Westone ES3X and the isol;ation on those wasn't as good for me as on the Shures. But it also depends on your ear canals and how deep the custom IEMs go in your ear. For me the ES3X went in only a little because I have narrow canals, so isolation suffered.

I have both the SE530 and JH13. SE530 with foam tips has better isolation. But it's basically irrelevant unless you listen to music at very low volumes.
