I don't even use these headphones at work (I spent 100 dollars on headphones so that I could enjoy quality music during my lunch break) because they don't seal too well, and due to the medium amount of ambient noise, sound exactly the same as the free work headphones which seal much better.

Does some sort of better sealing pad exist for my headphones?

Thank you.

well it may sound crazy but try turning them 180° - helped for me for the pleather pads. (i got the fisher audio 003 its the same oem model but comes with 2 sets of earcushions velour and pleather, not sure about the hm5)

I've always wondered why people want to listen to music during their lunch break. Isn't it like social convention to have lunch with your coworkers? I'm not judging at all, I'm just sincerely curious. Also about the pads, I'm not sure if the isolation issues lie with the pads, or just the construction of the cup.

Just came back to head-fi...

At that job, I took a lunch about an hour after everyone else got back from theirs. Plus, we just talked while we work!

I probably would have needed IEM with a set of sound protection ear muffs, like someone suggested. It was loud...
