Better quality ripping from original CD or EAC copied CD?

Hi all, I am encoding in LAME off of some slightly scatched CDs and am wondering if I would get better quality music by encoding off the original CDs or EAC copied CDs?

I assume you are using EAC rip your tracks with the LAME dll to concurrently encode them.

1. If you can read the originals from EAC without errors then they are the best source.
2. If you can't read the originals without uncorrectable errors, and you are happy with the copies, then use the copies.

Actually, if you've got a burner, what you could do is make an audio copy of the original audio CD (and then rip THAT is you wish)
I've just noticed that at least with my burner, if the original is scratched, i can make an direct cd-cd copy, and have no problems ripping that.

Just my two cents.
