Better amp for ATH-M50's for use with Macbook/iPhone?

Hi. I just bought the M50's and I think they are awesome. I tested out my Turtle Beach EarForce Dolby Digital Surround Sound (amp?) with these headphones and they sounded twice as good as they did without it. I used it via Digital Audio Output from my Macbook. I was wondering if there's an amp that could give me better sound than this? The sound is really good but I'm guessing it could be better since the DSS is for gaming. But I know absolutely nothing about audio so I could be way off. Thanks for any help.
Edit: Btw, I'm looking to spend under $100

One option to consider in your price range is the Fiio E7 USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier.... around 80 or 90 dollars. 
Unfortunately I don't have experience with this, but you can  find user feedback on this option on head-fi. 
 
Another low cost approach is to build a cmoy amp.  Lot's of information about that online.
 
I have the M50s, like them a lot and use them nearly every day at work with my Bithead DAC/Amp.    I do get some improvement in clarity and just smidge tighter in the bass.  I think the improvement in clarity may well come from the external DAC.  On the other hand, I like  how these headphones sound right out of my iPod.

you could use Fiio E11.very good and strong amp,Or you could buy Pico slim (if you like to travel),or Fiio e17 which has Amp and DAC

I have a M50S-LE and pair it with a FiiO E6. I think the FiiO gave me the bang for my buck that I'm looking for.
