Before I got my Zen Vision W, I couldn't imagine playing it through the FM on my car.

Now that I can see the advantage of hauling that unit instead of 100 CDs in the car, I am curious about FM via Zen.

Is sound quality on par with CD? Radio? What's the best unit for the money to hear my Zen in the car?

Thanks,

I also have one, and am not very happy with it. I hardly ever use it. The power of the transmission is only so-so with fresh batteries, and it gets worse as the batteries fade. If you're going to go with an FM transmitter, I'd suggest getting on that plugs into your cigarette lighter jack and runs off of 12v DC power.

But...

You'll get better sound using a line in (if your receiver has line in) or by using a cassette adapter (if your receiver has a cassette player).

I perservered with an IRiver cigarette lighter model (one of the better makes) until I simply could not stand the static interferences and bad sound quality anymore. I found the best option is the open SennPX100 headphone unit, as it allows me to hear all the other cars on the road hunking while I'm still stopped at a traffic light turned green trying to switch to another playlist on the Zen
