Trying to decide between D-Link D624/DWL-G120 combo vs.

Linksys G WRT54GS/WUSB54GP combo.

D-link is reported to be fastest in enhanced mode but Linksys easier to set up and maintain, though more expensive.

Which do you like better and any others?

Lastly, cheapest seller?

Jon-

I've been VERY happy with my NetGear Wireless-G router. It supports both 802.11G (which I connect to my other PC) as well as 802.11B (my iPAQ). There's also a "Super-G" model (later model than what I have) that supposedly accelerates the G throughput. If you're not transferring a lot of big files (i.e. video, uncompressed audio), 802.11G should suffice.

Look in your Sunday paper inserts (CompUSA, Best Buy, etc.) for sales/rebates. You can typically pick these up for cheap when their advertised on sale in the inserts. Also, try the OfficeMax.com rebate page, which list all the rebates from various manufacturers.

Online: Try Newegg.com. Great site, prices, and customer support.

i use linksys for the hub and net gear to have my comp speak to the hub. on hindsight i should have used all one company as it was a bear to get the netgear to speak to the linksys.
