Hi! Black Friday is a month away, and I wanted to add a wireless headset to my desktop. Sennheiser HD600 is still my main headphones (with modmic), but I want something wireless to go with it. I might sell my modmic and just have a secondary wireless headset specifically for gaming (and HD600 for music). What are the best options out there with a solid mic, noise cancellation/closed-back, and comfortable (not something very heavy)? It's not just for gaming--I'm also a part-time writer with ADHD, so I want quiet when I am writing (hence noise cancellation and/or closed back). I was looking at Astro A50 X Wireless and Audeze Maxwell that I hope will be on sale during black friday. Anything else worth consideration? Thanks!

P.S. My desktop doesn't have bluetooth if that's a suggestion. I would need to buy an adapter that can transmit and receive simultaneously for mic usage with audio going on. I know in the past, that was difficult to do. I don't know how far usb bt adapters have come in recent years.

P.S. I don't do multiplayer gaming so I don't care much about slight latency for single player games. Mic kind of matters to talk with friends, etc

I really like the Sennheiser Momentum 4. They streamlined the controls, out of the box tuning is really good for me. Great mids and better defined bass than the Sony X5. The Bower & Wilkins PX7 Carbon was nice too, really good fit and finish and fast charging. I still like the more sleek design of the M4 and battery life is really good also. I use the Momentum 3 ear buds to travel and sound amazing (fan of female vocals and acoustics).

Are there BT adapters that can receive and transmit data simultaneously for use with pc? I want to be able to use the microphone through pc. Bluetooth adapters in the past could not do it simultaneously.

What are the best options out there with a solid mic,
The 'solid mic' part doesn't exist.
That requirement alone rules out almost 100% of headsets in the world ever made, aside from a very select few broadcast quality headsets that are not really designed to be used with PCs.

If you don't mind the tiny soundstage, Maxwell is a very solid headset, and arguably the best (as an all-round wireless gaming package).
I didn't like it though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Howevr it has no ANC, but has pretty decent passive noise isolation.

If you REALLY want ANC, the other suggestions above that are geared towards 'portable/consumer' wireless headphones might be more suitable and more versatile options.
I would put another vote in for the Noble Fokus Apollo. It really sounds great.

Thanks. I was just hoping for a halfway decent mic, but I guess I'm asking for too much =[

1) What did you not like about the Maxwell?

2) I don't mind portable wireless BT headphones, but I would need an usb adapter to add bluetooth capability to my pc. I don't know if the adapters support simultaneous transmit/receiving data, so I can use them for Zoom calls, for example. Apollo is way past my budget - sorry, I should have mentioned around $300-350. Whatever I buy will not be my main headphones. The HD600 are great for when I want sound.

1) What did you not like about the Maxwell?
Tiny sounsdstage and quite strong fatiguing feeling from acoustic pressure.
But others do not report these issues, so it may depend on your own personal HRTF.

How are bose quietcomfort ultra, sony wh-1000xm5, and sennheiser momentum 4 sound quality, comfort, and mic quality??

Creative BT-W6 came out since starting this thread, so I can now use bt with my pc.

I think from memory, the Bose for the best ANC, the senns for the sound, and the Sony's for the all rounder
