Got a pair which I use for the PC but would like to try them with my PS4 too!

I doubt the controller would drive these and would like to take advantage of the optical out.

Schiit Fulla is supposed to work with the PS4 (through USB), or something like the original E17 with Optical In would work.

An Astro Mix-amp and a dedicated headphone amplifier (FiiO A3), would give you headphone surround sound.

Thanks for this. Definitely looking to get the Mix Amp, but could you explain why I would need the Headphone amp on top of that too?

The Astro Mix-amp is somewhat maxed out try to drive the DT770 250-Ohm headphones.
Technically the DT770 80-Ohm is suppose to be easier to drive then the 250-Ohm version.
I guess recommending the FiiO A3 is more a precaution (extra safety net?).
 
So try the mix-amp by it's self, you can always order an extra amplifier at a later date.
