I watch a lot of live performances in the form of DVDs, as usually the case(for me at least), live performance offers something better in comparison to studio records, hard to explain the different feel but it comes down to mainly vocal presence, but nowadays when using foobar+WASAPI, I find the studio recorded tracks is better overall in feeling, is VLC sufficient in providing the best audio quality? If there is something else better, a recommendation would be nice even if it costs money, I'm all for it as long as I get the same or better quality as in foobar

I am using the magni/modi as an external DAC and amp with my laptop and Shure 1840
