So, what do you guys think? based on your experience(s), which IEM's are the best with regards to trance & progressive?

P.S. I'm very sorry if this is a double post, since I posted the same question under the headphones (full-size) sub-forum. I own both IEM's (currently, Sennheiser IE8's) as well as the Superlux 669 closed cans, both of which I absolutely love. So, I'd like to get an opinion on both IEM's in this post as well as full cans over at the other sub-forum.

CK10 - I can have them in my ears plugged into Trance all day long! q-JAYS were pretty good for it as well. Really depends on what kind of sound one prefers.

FX700s are pretty good for this genre b/c of the quantity and quality of the bass, which is strong in electronica.  The texture of the beats really stand out, too. I can hear/feel/see the shape of the sound in the genre vividly.

I own the Atrio M5 from Future Sonics. They do  very well with trance, really with any electronic music.  It's got a textured and well extended low range, and just great presentation for that 4/4 thumping kickdrum

The problem with the CK10 is the bass; it doesn't have the sub bass rumble or the low extension other IEM offers. IMO, bass is an important part of trance. Well, what you said is true, it really depends on the sound signature one prefers.

Out of all the IEMs I have owned, I undoubtedly would choose EX1000 (which can also mean that the FX700 is also a good choice, judging from what I have read). SE535 performs relatively well in that genre, but the EX1000 just does it so much better.

Mirror everything said about the FX700, plus consider the fact that is open backed so it sounds really big and airy, which makes listening to trance more enjoyable.

Westone 3 makes it sound very big and powerful, great for this sort of music imo!

I would like to think 535 are suitable for trance or any type of EDM cuzz my pair is supposed to be coming in in a matter of days now!

I wouldn't recommend these because of the cable, but my Klipsch Custom 3s are also very good with trance.  Airy, orchestral-string-synthesizer sounds seem to be handled well by dual BAs, especially with lossless tracks
