The 'Finest' superhero invention of all time was the LSD-bicycle-powered psychedelic bus created by Mister Nobody, anarchical chief of the Brotherhood of Dada and US Presidential Candidate, who was sadly defeated by Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol.

I kid you not: http://www.rpi.edu/~bulloj/Doom_Patrol/issue50.html

Spurred by Gratefulshrink's reference to Bob Burden's Mystery Men, I'll plop for #2 being The Flaming Carrot's atomic pogo stick or the ray gun that turned the Mayor of Atlanta's head into a baby-head that wept and spouted surrealist epithets.

Ok dude, you can't have all that Star Trek crap in there and not have the Lightsaber from Star Wars!

Here's a link to a Flaming Carrot panel where he discovers a miniature Abe Lincoln:

I think I have that issue in the boxes at home. It concludes with the miniature Abe Lincoln escaping into the tall grass wearing nothing but his stove-pipe hat and singing the lyrics from a Phil Colins song: "Su-Su-Sussudio!"

Adamantium is cool, but the X-men just copied Dungeons & Dragons for the idea.

My vote goes for the Replicator... take of the safety routines and you've got unlimited beer.

Warp Drive and the Replicator are both pretty impressive achievements, and both central to the Star Trek adventure.

Especially the Replicator, with the Heizenberg Uncertainty Theory and all. If we were able to construct such machines - imagine what knowledge we would have to have.
