I'm about to buy a 2nd headphone for the 2nd PC I own, which has a Xonar DG. I already have a JVC RX700 but I don't want to get a 2nd one because I believe there are better competitive gaming (FPS mainly) headphones 50$ can buy.

I'm looking into:
-Superlux HD 681
-Samson SR850
-K81DJ Akg
-Superlux HD668B

I'm totally clueless on which to pick since I'm reading many mixed opinions, so I'm narrowing it down to competitive fps gaming mostly. Not sure if there are other good alternatives for this list but feel free to add. Thanks!

Sounds like I'll be getting the SR850, anyone tried the AKG K81DJ though? They are on ~40$ now. But still my main purpose of these new headphones are FPS gaming.

Heya,

FPS gaming would be something you'd want a big sound stage for. You wouldn't want closed back DJ headphones for that in general. Open & semi-open headphones with a good sound stage will provide a better field for generating good imaging to know direction and position.

Very best,
