Throw in some albums with rich and unique drum sound.

Some to kick off:

Reggatta de Blanc - The Police
Slint - Spiderland
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
Sailing The Seas Of Cheese/Pork Soda - Primus
Surfer Rosa - Pixies
Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin
Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory - Dream Theater
Spectrum - Billy Cobham
The Bedlam in Goliath - The Mars Volta
Nevermind - Nirvana
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine
Aja - Steely Dan

Remember... This is not about great drumming, it's about the production and mastering of albums that make drums shine.

One of my best is Ecstacy in Number live at the HE2003 (Stereophile) show.  I highly recommend tracking down this recording.

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 and Innocence OST's

+1 on Aja.

Also:

Chick Corea Elektric Band, Inside Out (Dave Weckl playing)
Rush, Moving Pictures (Neil Peart, of course)
Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti, (Bonham, of course)
Donald Fagen, Morph the Cat (Keith Carlock)

I liked LZII's drums slightly better than PG. :D
