I'm now rocking out to my Rega P5, Grado RA1 and Grado RS-1s (I just got the Grados today!). Combine the rockingest turntable (Rega) with the rockingest headphones (Grado) and you get the ULTIMATE ROCK SETUP (barring better Rega tables and possibly the PS-1s)! I think this may be just about a perfect setup for me, or at least definitely as close as I've ever come to perfect. The bass is awesome, deep and tight and powerful! Mids are liquidy smooth and the highs are sweet and crystal clear. I love my new headphones! Plus, I got three new albums today:

Eric Clapton: Unplugged --- This is a cool record. The sound quality's awesome and Clapton sounds great on acoustic. He's certainly in fine form on this one.

The next two are perfect for my new setup; can you say ROCK?!!!:

Nirvana - Nevermind
Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction

I couldn't get enough of the Nirvana album today, it sounds fantastic (as does the Guns N' Roses album). Both are imports from Music Direct, issued by Geffen Records. Plus, the Guns N' Roses album has the original cover; cool! Here's a pic:

And the Grados:

In summary, REGA + GRADO = THE ULTIMATE SETUP FOR ROCKING OUT!!!!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some rocking out to do.

Beautiful aren't they

I'm glad you enjoy them.

Unfortunately mine have a little dent in the wood of one of the chambers. Damn my carelessness!

Nah, I'm not leaving anytime soon

. There's always more stuff to get. Especially since I work at a hifi shop (how do you think I was able to afford all this stuff? LOL) it's hard enough not to blow ALL the money I make

. For the time being, though, I think I'm just going to concentrate on buying more music. Buying music is at least as exciting as buying equipment, if not more so.
