What would be the best source to get a 1/8" right angle mini to mini to use with a Meta-42 and a CD player. The one offered at Headroom seems very thin and I dont think its right angle for $20.

i'm also in your boat. as far as i know, there are two right angle mini-mini's out there. the cheap headroom one, and the uber expensive ted's earcandy (also sold by headroom...check their website).

i have the headroom one. it's decent, but i definitely feel there is room to improve.

Woah, that Ted's cable is $109?

It looks like this one:

that I made. Cost $11 in materials ($5 for each Switchcraft right-angle connector, $0.39/foot Canare cable, solder) and 10 minutes of labor.

Before making it, I read a thread from a while ago about someone saying Markertek gave them a quote for $30 for the custom cable. If the Plastics One mini-mini from Headroom is worth $20 in terms of sound/quality, then this cable is worth $40.

Here's the one from headroom: http://www.headphone.com/layout.php?...tID=0050200000

I made a similar one using Homegrown cable and the Switchcraft connectors. These would be the best quality. Pretty easy to make. Maybe around $20-25.

Check out FixUps site. He offers one for 14.95. I got one with my SuperMini and it's a nice cable.
