I've been doing some researching and I really can't find any hard reviews/information on portable headphones (not IEM's, which is what this sub-forum is filled with).

My criteria?
Closed (Don't want my sound leaking)
Comfortable (Going to be using while studying)
Durable (I don't want to be buying new headphones every three months)
Portable
NO AMP REQUIRED!

I listen to a wide array of music...No classical though. Mostly hiphop with the occasional vocal pop song.

If it helps, I'm currently using Etymotic MC5's but I really don't like them. They sound really flat (the typical Etymotic sound) and I'm looking for something with more "umph".

From what I've read so far...I only have this.
Audio Technica ATH-ES7 ($70 Refurbished) - Said to be good, but no idea why.

AiAiAi TMA-1?

HD25 II?

Questionables are because they are above my price range.

Any other suggestions? I'd prefer the lower price headphones but if I really get a lot of performance, I'll be willing to dish out as much as $150.

AiAiAi Tracks...   they sound damn good for the price..  and they don't leak much...  although..  they let sound in. They're also comfy for long periods of time

AKG 420..  ..  sound just as good, less bassy then Tracks. Leak a little more but not overtly so..  VERY COMFY!!

Sennheiser HD 25-sp. Cheaper cousin of the HD25-1-ii

Jays C-jays. Excellent sounding with 3 different ear cups.

or the cheaper Jays V-Jays....
